Are you thinking about the

Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy
A Humanistic Relational approach - 3 years part time

Then you will need to consider the following questions:
• Can you provide evidence of study at A level, NVQ level 3 or equivalent standard*?
• Are you at least 21 years of age?
• Have you had relevant experience of working with people in a responsible or supportive role?
• Do you have a personal life compatible with professional ethics?
• Do you have a personality that offers the stability for a counselling relationship?
• Are you able to make a commitment to on-going personal development throughout the course through personal therapy?

If you can answer yes to these questions and would like to apply you will need to complete an application form with relevant information about your education, professional training, work experience and voluntary activity. The application form includes a requirement to sign a personal statement regarding any previous criminal convictions, Two references are also required.
If your application form is approved you will need to attend for an interview of a minimum of 30 minutes duration with a member of the Programme Tutor team.

* If you do not have formal qualifications but can meet the other criteria, then you will be asked to provide a 2,000 word essay on a related topic to be agreed between yourself and the Programme Leader
