The course we offer is the ABC Awards (Level 2) in Counselling Concepts. This course provides an introduction to counselling and may be of interest to you if:
- You would like a realistic understanding of the nature of counselling training.

- You would like to enhance your career prospects through extra qualifications.

This course is accredited by ABC Awards and offers a level 2 (GCSE equivalent) qualification. The course consists of 3 units, which are internally assessed:
- Unit 1 An appreciation of the basics of counselling , the professional context and relationship.
- Unit 2 An introduction to the skills used by a counsellor.
- Unit 3 An introduction to personal development.
Students can opt from two different modes of study to complete the 30 hours. Our Tuesday evening course runs for ten weeks from 6pm – 9pm. In response to student feedback, the timing of our Wednesday daytime course has been tailored to offer an intensive delivery. This course is now offered as one full day a week, over a period of five weeks from 9.30am - 4.30pm.
The tuition fee is £245* and is open to all. Fees include the ABC assessment and trainees also receive a Certificate of Attendance from The Sherwood Institute. 80% attendance is required by ABC Awards.
