Free Information Days

10am - 3pm

As part of helping you with your decision about whether to undertake psychotherapy and counselling training with us, we have found that many people find attending one of our free Information Days helpful. On each of these days we provide information about the various courses we offer, the chance to spend time in one of the Institute’s buildings, and to meet with students and trainers.

Studying at Masters level

Courses available:

The academic entry requirements for Masters level study are:

  •  an undergraduate degree, not necessarily in a related subject, or equivalent level of prior learning.

Individual queries can be addressed at interview and further details given. Personal qualities, commitment and motivation are of utmost importance to our consideration of an applicants’ suitability for our courses.

Studying up to Undergraduate Level

Courses available:

  • BSc (Hons) Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP accredited)
  • Foundation Access Course
  • ABC Counselling Concepts Level 2 Award (10 week course Tuesday Evenings, 5 week course (Wednesday Day)

The academic entry requirements for the BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy are:

  • 'A' levels, NVQ level 3, or equivalent standard (Our Foundation Access course provides evidence of study at this level)
  • Applicants are also required to have completed a Basic Counselling Skills course of a minimum of 30 hours
  • Applications can be made from those who have had significant life and work experiences, but who might not have the necessary academic qualifications.  Such applications will be considered on an individual basis.

Those without counselling skills training can develop skills by completing our Foundation Access course, or our Counselling Concepts course.

These one day events include lunch and are free of charge (£15 reservation fee is refundable on attendance).
