We are looking for an experienced professional to join our vibrant and established training and support team at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute, at a time of continued growth and development. The Institute has over 30 years’ experience providing professional training in Psychotherapy and Counselling across a range of levels including Introductory, BSc and MSc programmes. Our degree courses are validated by Staffordshire University and accredited by BACP (BSc programme) and UKCP (MSc programme).
The Student Support Officer will be integral to the support of our students from initial application through to completion. You will liaise with students and SPTI colleagues ensuring our students feel supported throughout their learning journey, making sure they access internal and external support available to them and working to support diversity and inclusion for all students. A specific aspect of the role will be to act as SPTI Disability Officer liaising with students, staff, and external agencies to ensure resources, support and reasonable adjustments are put into place and monitored. Excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills will be essential for this varied role in which you will act as a prime contact for students.
Hours: Flexible, 20 hours per week over 4 days
Salary: £23000 – £25000 p.a. (£12272-£13364 pro rata)
Job type: permanent, subject to 3-month probation period
