Tutors and research supervisors/tutors:
MSc Person-Centred & Experiential Psychotherapy

We are seeking tutors/trainee tutors to join our experienced and friendly team in delivering our MSc Person-Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy programme. We are a diverse team of practitioners, looking to increase this diversity with colleagues who are interested in and committed to Person-Centred and Experiential philosophies, theories, research, and practice. If you consider yourself to be an enthusiastic, innovative, and creative practitioner who is committed to person-centred philosophy and theory and to translating these into the role of tutor the following posts may be for you!

  • Tutor
  • Research Supervisor/Tutor

To be eligible to apply you should be: 

  • Qualified at post-graduate level within the Person-Centred and Experiential framework and ideally have been practising for a minimum of five years
  • Maintaining a current caseload and have UKCP registration (or equivalent professional body status) as an individual psychotherapist
  • Ideally be qualified as a supervisor and have a minimum of two years’ experience of supervising individuals and/or groups

Those subject to any unresolved ethical complaints or who have been found guilty of serious professional misconduct or ethical misconduct are not eligible to apply.

Trainee tutor roles: We also welcome applications from accredited psychotherapists who meet most, but not all, of the essential criteria. Applicants will need to be qualified practitioners with supervision experience. The trainee tutor position is a fully supported option which through induction, training and assessment leads to full tutor status.

Skills Tutor: BSc Counselling & Psychotherapy

We are seeking a Skills Tutor to join our experienced teaching team in the delivery of our successful BSc Counselling & Psychotherapy programme. You will be supporting trainees from novice (preparing for placement) through to qualified and registered practitioner level. In liaison with the tutor team, you will provide effective supervision of students’ clinical skills work in triads and fishbowls and in the development of their therapists’ skills. The role includes the delivery of scheduled skills training, assessment and feedback and pastoral support.  An appreciation and ability to respond to different learning styles is essential.

Candidates must be professionally accredited psychotherapists and/or counsellors, a graduate within a Humanistic and Integrative framework and have a minimum of two years qualified supervisor experience. The post is offered on a self-employed basis.
