We are seeking to appoint a Finance, Data and Strategy Manager to join our vibrant and established team at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute at an exciting time of continued growth and development.
About the role
The successful candidate will join our experienced, committed and collaborative team responsible for delivering high quality psychotherapy training. They will be responsible for the oversight and daily management of all financial operations and key data returns, working closely with our Finance Officer and all members of the senior leadership team to ensure day-to-day finance and business continuity and development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Financial Oversight
- Daily Financial Operations and Line Management
- Ensuring Systems and Data Integrity
- Financial Data Management and Reporting
- Cross-Institutional Collaboration
| Contract: | 2-year fixed term (with review for continuation) |
| FTE: | 0.8 (4 days / 30 hours per week) |
| Salary | £45,000 – £52,000 FTE (pro rata £36,000 – £41,600) |

About you
Management of financial operations is a key appointment and is fundamental to the continued growth and success of our business. We are seeking to appoint a Finance Manager who has recognised financial qualifications, experience of managing financial operations of a medium sized business ideally in the HE sector, is highly motivated, has excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders. You should have the following skills knowledge experience and personal qualities:
- ACA/ACCA /CIMA qualifications or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or Finance Manager for a medium sized company with excellent leadership skills
- Highly numerate with excellent IT skills including advanced Excel and Xero.
- Highly motivated, able to use your own initiative and have a detailed and positive approach to finance management and oversight.
- Have effective communication skills, a warm relational approach and excellent people skills.
- Personal qualities of robustness, integrity, openness and honesty and being able to respond to and lead change and challenge with sensitivity and confidence.
- Previous experience of working in education, higher education, counselling, training or in a social care setting in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Candidates from all sectors are encouraged to apply.
