We are seeking a Skills Tutor to join our experienced teaching team in the delivery of our successful BSc (Hons) Counselling & Psychotherapy programme.

You will be supporting trainees from novice (preparing for placement) through to qualified and registered practitioner level. In liaison with the tutor team, you will provide effective supervision of students’ clinical skills work in triads and fishbowls and in the development of their therapists’ skills. The role includes the delivery of scheduled skills training, completing assessment of student progress including marking written work, presentations, and practice related elements in compliance with the relevant standards and obligations of SPTI and its validating partners. Attending both BSc team and year meetings and SPTI full staff meetings as agreed with the Programme Leader and Director of Training.

Feedback and pastoral support and an appreciation and ability to respond to different learning styles is essential.

Candidates must be professionally accredited psychotherapists and/or counsellors, a graduate within a Humanistic and Integrative framework and have a qualification in clinical and academic supervision. The post is offered on a self-employed basis.
