The Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute is an active research community of staff, students, and graduates. Members of our teaching staff and alumni are working towards and have obtained external Doctorates in psychotherapy and counselling, and aligned fields. Research is embedded throughout our programmes.
We have hosted several Research Showcases with invited speakers and involving contributions from our final year students, graduates and staff.
In 2021 a Research Showcase, on the topic of ‘Using Ourselves in Research’, takes place on Saturday 13th November 2021 from 9.30 – 4.30 pm online via Zoom. The showcase features a keynote presentation from Professor Divine Charura and an interactive session with Kim Etherington, plus a panel discussion and presentations on a range of research topics from graduates and students.
