Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute, in partnership with the University of Staffordshire and aligned with UKCP standards, is seeking a Deputy Programme Leader to support the continued development of our MSc Integrative Psychotherapy programme.

This is more than an academic post.
It is a relational leadership role within a community that values dialogue, inclusivity, integrity, and thoughtful growth. 

About the Role

Working alongside the Programme Leader you will:

  • Provide visible and steady support to students
  • Coordinate facilitator team meetings
  • Monitor student progression and clinical training requirements
  • Oversee marking schedules and academic processes
  • Mark and moderate in accordance with SPTI and University of Staffordshire policies and quality standards.
  • Contribute to curriculum development
  • Deputise for the Programme Leader when required
  • Maintain an active teaching presence within the programme

You will help hold both the academic structure and relational heart of the programme.

About You

You will be:

  • A qualified and registered psychotherapist (UKCP or equivalent)
  • With at least two years post-qualification experience
  • Experienced supervisor
  • Experienced in psychotherapy training or higher education
  • Organised, reflective and relationally grounded
  • Committed to inclusive, humanistic and integrative values
  • Comfortable stepping into leadership while remaining collaborative
